The Laime Children
A thrilling adventure story based on a real-life character — the famous Latvian-born explorer Aleksandrs Laime (1911—1994), the first recorded human to reach Angel Falls in Venezuela. Laime invites journalists to go on a jungle expedition so he can reveal the secrets of Devil Mountain to the whole world. The main protagonists are his two children and a Swedish journalist who embark on an exciting adventure with elements of danger, treasure hunting, and even magic. This story looks at the human ability to coexist with the jungle, the damaging consequences of greed, and believing in the impossible.
